Security Fee (One-Time Payment Only)

The Security Deposit is refundable provided one full term of written notice of withdrawal is given in advance while the student is in the current school term. The said notice must be received, acknowledged and approved by the school. This deposit will be forfeited if proper notification is not received and acknowledged by the school in accordance to the terms and conditions of admission.

All fees must be paid in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payment in the form of cheques or bank drafts should be addressed to VIKAS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SDN.
For payment through bank remittance, wire transfer and direct bank in, the important details are as follows:

Family (Sibling) Discount
Family (Sibling) Discount is available to families with two or more children attending EHM at the same time. The following applies:
Definition of sibling: the student must be one of two or more children having both parents in common (by law).
The discount is applied to the second and each successive sibling registered. Students in receipt of the sibling discount are not eligible for any other discount.
Sibling discount are withdrawn when there are less than two children from one family at the school. Discount will not be offered retrospectively.

Late Payment
The School reserves the right to impose late payment charge of 5% on all outstanding fees which has not been paid by the first day of each commencement term.

All fees are subject to annual reviews and Vikas International School reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions on an annual basis.

FEE STRUCTURE

TERMS AND CONDITION

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Parents have to READ, UNDERSTOOD and ACCEPTED all the terms and conditions of the school website and /or school diary.

2. RIGHTS RESERVED

All terms and conditions and the school fees mentioned on the school website and/or in the school diary are valid for the relevant academic year only. The school reserves the right to amend any of these fees structures or terms and conditions for any subsequent academic year.

3. SCHOOL COMMENCEMENT & VACATION PERIOD

Academic year of the school shall commence from 13th April 2016 and ends on 31st March 2017. The school reserves the right to amend the commencement date.
Vacation period – 8 weeks long vacation will be spread over the month of June and December, commencing on the first Monday of the month. The school shall observe all Malaysian public holidays and also will be closed on the 15th August (India’s Independence Day) and 26th January (Republic Day)

4. FEE PAYING AND DEADLINES

All School Fees are to be paid before the under mentioned payment deadline dates. Each Academic year consists of 3 Terms, and each Term consists of 4 months.

f. With effect from 01.01.2013 VIS Management shall not entertain by verbal / phone teleconversation instruction to hold or prolong deposit of all post dated cheques payments unless accepted by writing appeal and approved by the Management on appeal ( 7 days before due date ) and on case to case basis. Each appeal will be charged RM20.00 for administration fee.

5. RE-ENROLMENT AND SIBLING BENEFIT

a) RE-ENROLMENT – Students who re-register with Vikas International School after 2 years of leaving school will receive 25% subsidy on the prevailing enrolment fee only. Student will be required to take the admission aptitude test. They shall pay the prevailing Aptitude fee. Students on inter Vikas International School transfer shall not be required to pay enrolment fee nor aptitude test fee.
b) SIBLING BENEFITS -Applies only on the TUITION fee – Sibling subsidy of 25% on the tuition fee ONLY for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th child is given automatically. No subsidy is given on any other fees such as school fee, activity fee or enrolment fee.

6. DEPOSITS & DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY

a) Deposit fee refund policy – When the child leaves the school, the parents are required to give a compulsory 3 months withdrawal notice to the school. During this 3 months notice period, the child should attend the school and would have to pay all the applicable fees in full. If for any reasons (including parents’ transfer) the child is unable to physically attend the school or has to leave earlier, the parent shall pay all applicable fees for the entire 3 months notice period. The school reserves the right to deduct all unpaid fees from the Security Deposit Fee including those for the notice period from the Security Deposit Fees. The Transfer Certificate(TC) will be issued only when the account is settled fully.
b) Deposit fee refund policy – The child has to complete 1 academic year in order for the deposit fee to be refunded ( Example : Admission Date – 01st until 30th March 2015. The refund of deposit fee will only be given 3 months after 01st

a. Transfer of job from employer and not by employee (Letter from Employer is required). It does not apply for resignation.
b. On medical grounds (Original medical report from the local / overseas Government Hospital or Private Hospital is required – applies only for parents, child and siblings). The school shall have the sole discretion on the acceptance of the medical certificate or shall insist for an independent medical opinion or report if required so before allowing the waiver.

7. LONG LEAVE STUDENT

a) A student can take long leave from school only upon a prior approval from Principal in writing. School fees will still be imposed as usual without any exemption.
b) The student needs to pay all applicable school fees for the notice period of three months in case of withdrawal of student on long leave.

8. PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY

a) It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that all school fees are paid at all times and the school may not remind them of the unpaid fees. Parents should not wait until they receive reminders from the school for unpaid fees and then make the fees payment. Late payment charges will be applicable as per admissions terms and conditions.
b) The school reserves the right to withhold examination results and shall prevent the student/ candidate from attending or appearing for any examination conducted by the school in the event of non-payment of any dues to the school that exceeds 2 months of arrears. Each student will be given an Examination Card 1 week before the examination date. Only candidate with Examination Card is allowed to sit for the examination. Examination Card is only given to students without any arrears in fees.
c) The school shall withhold Transfer Certificate (TC) and results (e.g. internal or external examination’s results) for non-settlement of any dues at the time of withdrawal.

9. MEDICAL

a) The parent/guardian shall declare to the school in writing, at the time of admission any/all serious illness, debility – physical or mental, and/or health condition and/or allergy of the child.
b) The parent shall also inform the school in writing from time to time, as and when the child is diagnosed of any serious illness, debility – physical or mental, and/or health condition and/or allergy.
c) The school shall not be held responsible for any medical exigencies that involve special medical intervention in relation to the special or serious illness, debility – physical or mental, and/or health condition and/or allergy of the child. The school shall provide emergency outpatient treatment for all medical eventualities by a qualified registered nurse.

10. ABSENT

a) In the event if the child is absent or do not attend any activities held by the school, the parent must provide the medical chit / certificate from the authorized doctor.
b) If the child is absent but not due to medical reason, the parent / guardian must provide a written notification which must be handed to the Principal on the next day the child is present for school.
c) If the child is absent without informing the school and without obtaining prior written approval from the school management, he is still liable to pay all the school expenses without any exemption.
